About Jane Reagan, MEd RD Registered Dietitian
Jane Reagan, MEd, RD, holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree in Health Education from the University of Arizona. She holds a Master of Education in Counseling degree from Boston University and recently became a Registered Dietician through the University of Northern Colorado.
Jane’s experience in the fields of education, counseling and nutrition spans 17 years. Jane started her work in nutrition and wellness at Canyon Ranch Health Resort in Tucson, Arizona, followed by group counseling work at an in-patient eating disorders hospital in Boston. She has 12 years’ experience directing, managing and counseling in non-profit organizations. Her professional exposure to a broad range of nutrition, wellness and emotional-related issues established a firm foundation for her current practice which focuses on family and child nutrition, diet’s impact on learning disorders, food allergies, weight-loss and healthful eating.
For the past 5 years, Jane has contributed significantly to nutrition and wellness within the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD). She was actively involved in developing the district's first nutrition wellness standards and is currently teaching nutrition classes within the school system. Jane developed BVSD’s food allergy awareness web link. Jane is an active board member and educator for the Growe Foundation and the Garden to Table program. The Garden to Table program is an elementary school experiential learning program involving organic vegetable gardens, wellness promotion, nutrition education and cooking classes.
During her dietetic internship Jane worked at Longmont United Hospital, Davida Dialysis Center, Boulder Valley School District’s Nutrition Services office, the Integrated Nutrition Education Program, and the University of Colorado’s Food Service Department and Bio Nutrition Research Office.
Jane has lived in Boulder for 11 years, is the mother of four children and is passionate about teaching and counseling children and adults about the value and importance of nutrition.
